Telling the time

A few days ago we made clocks from paper and a lamination machine.
The clock was decorated clocks.
Some times I get confused with the little lines that mean minutes. For example if Mr Naidoo says if it takes me 3 hours from 1.00 o'clock to get to wellington what time will it be when he gets there and we will know it will be 4.00 o'clock.
